April Ross

April Ross, a beach volleyball player in the US She is one of a small set of females who've been awarded medals at more than one Olympics. Alix-Klineman will compete with April Ross Tokyo for her third gold in the coming days. But more than that, Ross will be aiming for her first Olympic gold. This may be the last chance she'll ever have to do so at the age of 39. But she's convinced that top honors are firmly at hand. Ross was reported on NBC Boston as saying that when you perform at your very top, even if you do well, we'll get the gold. It's also going to be the result of luck. Ross was born in 1982 in Costa Mesa California where she lived with her parents and sister. Ross's athletic endeavors was continued by Newport Harbor High School where she participated in several sports. She competed in basketball and track, in addition to her indoor volleyball achievements in her time as a college athlete. Although she was a pro when playing indoors, it was clear that her skills were above the average. In her own biography in high school, she played volleyball as an outside hitter (middle blocker) as well as a the setter (outside blocker). Gatorade Circle of Champions named her as the National Player of 1999. In 2000, she was recognized as the Orange County Athlete of the year for volleyball. Although Ross and Klineman are a couple from 2017 onward, the former was already a big-time athlete on the beach even before the pair formed. In reality, she was a winner of numerous major events with two different partners, one of whom is the volleyball legend. Jennifer Kessy was her partner for six years, from 2007 until 2013. Also, she coached Klineman and herself. Together with Kessy Ross, she was a major force on the international stage, claiming a world title in 2009. The 2012 Olympic Games, they received the gold medal. Misty Maytreanor (Jennings) and Misty Maytreanor clinched gold ahead of them. Ross Jennings was the replacement for May-Treanor as she announced her retirement. Both went on to win the bronze beach volleyball trophy at Rio Olympics 2016. They were joined by Walsh Jennings. Ross started her college professional career playing for the Trojans of USC after high school. The Trojans were a few years away from when Ross made her debut on the beach, and then became a professional. Her experience at USC was awe-inspiring. She was a All-American as well as Pac-10 Freshman of the Year in the year 2000, a young freshman. In addition, she helped her Trojans get to the Final Four. After her sophomore year, she experienced a terrible personal loss, yet was able to be named an All-American. Through her two final years in the Trojans program, she guided the Trojans to winning a national title every year. Ross was an excellent player on the court, and was awarded the Honda Sports Award in 2003-04 as the best female volleyball player in the NCAA. Ross, who was a USC international relations student was a star in volleyball. Margie Ross did not get to see Ross reach beach volleyball's highest stage. As of 2001, when Ross was a sophomore at USC her mother passed away due to breast cancer. She continues to cherish her parents who passed away. Margie remains a constant source of inspiration for her at and off the beaches.
